VINTAGE CONDITION
It's taking every bit of will power I have not to keep this set for myself! This vintage coffee or hot chocolate set will be a fantastic display set.
This set was covered in thick grease when we found it, so I had to do a good bit of cleaning. I won't promise that you won't find a few sticky spots still. Because of the dirt I fell in love with it before we could inspect its condition properly. There are several hairline fractures and fleabites, and some pieces have a good bit of crazing. There are several manufacturing flaws, such as a straw mark on the top edge of the sugar bowl. I've tried to give you plenty of photographs so you can judge for yourself concerning the flaws.
As far as I'm concerned, this is one of the prettiest vintage pottery sets I've seen in a long time. There is no back stamp of any kind, and we could not find any kind of artist's mark.
The pitcher measures 8" high, including the top, and 4 1/4" in diameter.
The creamer measures 4 1/4" high an 4" across, including the handle.
The sugar bowl measures 3" high, including the top, and 4 1/2" in diameter.
The mugs measure 3 1/2" high and 4" across, including the handle.
Because of the age issues, we will have to be extra careful in packing this set. We will tape any place we think can be preserved by reinforcing it and use lots and lots of 1" bubble wrap.
