Heavy Platter
Brown and Green Band with Pink Roses
C 35 N 4
MADE IN U.S.A.
VINTAGE CONDITION
This almost 80 year old platter is probably restaurant ware, but we're not sure. It is very heavy. We do not know the name of this pattern, so if you do, please email us.
The rim decoration has a thin band of rust brown, with a detail of dots and scrolls on the inside edge. Near the center of the band is a black background insert, with 3 pink roses. There is a rose and greenery at each end. There is a gold line around the center of the platter.
It measures 11" long, 7 1/8" wide, and 1" deep.
There are no chips or hairline cracks, but there is a dark spot in the glaze about the size of a penny on the front and back side. There is a good bit of color loss near the edge, and the gold line around the center is mostly rubbed off. This plate is well used, but still serviceable. Considering its age, it's in pretty good shape!!
