From Hull and Weller to McCoy, pottery pieces are always sought after by collectors. The fun is in spotting a collectible pottery piece that's been overlooked, carefully cleaning it up, without damaging the patina, and getting a great feedback from an appreciative buyer.
We particularly like finding porcelain and pottery serving pieces with attractive patterns. We seem to gravitate toward dinner ware chop plates and souvenir plates. We're always on the lookout for Vernon Kilns and Currier and Ives plates, and we usually have several church commemorative plates for sale.
We were able to provide one very pleased daughter with the pictorial commemorative plate of the church where her parents had married 50 years before. It's hearing stories like that which make our estate sales rummaging so much fun.

“The kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant seeking goodly pearls, who, when he found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”
