This gorgeous pair of commemorative plates would be a great addition to anyone's patriotic collection, as well as two beauties to add to any calendar plate collection.
Made by Spencer Gifts in 1975 and 1979, one depicts the American Eagle holding the olive branch atop the US shield, flags, and arrows with E PLURIBUS UNUM in a scroll.
The other has a colorful depiction of George Washington crossing the Delaware in 1979, a key moment in American Revolutionary history.
The outer area of each plate has alternating red and blue monthly calendars and a gold rim. They measure 9 inches in diameter.
The 1975 plate is in absolutely perfect condition, with no scratches, chips, or crazing, and the 1979 plate has only minimal scratches on the red lettering, with no chips or crazing.
